What is Muscle Soreness Treatment?
Heard this saying “No pain, no gain”? This is a very common motto in various sports training.
After intense exercise, many will experience Acute Muscle Soreness (AMS) or Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). AMS occurs during or immediately after exercise, while DOMS may reach its peak 24-72 hours after exercise. While muscle soreness will recover on its own, should an athlete return to exercise before the muscles have fully recovered, it can increase the risk of future injury.
Acupuncture, massage and cupping can be used to relieve and manage symptoms of muscle soreness and may reduce the duration of recovery. This may allow athletes to return to training earlier.
